Mary, Queen of Scots Bedroom, Holyroodhouse Oil on Canvas Signed C M Woods
An interior oil bedchamber believed to be of Mary, Queen of Scots Bedroom, in Holyroodhouse.
Draped in warm golden textiles and surrounded by deep, moody tones, the scene has an almost storybook quality—inviting you to imagine the history and life that once filled the room.
The dark wood interior, paneled walls, glowing ochre fabrics, and beautifully rendered architectural details create a wonderfully romantic sense of depth. The painting is housed in a handsome antique-style gilt wood frame that complements the warm tones of the artwork beautifully.
Condition: there are minor nail pricks in the corners of the painting closer to the frame. Craquelure present. No major imperfections in the paint. Scuffs on the gilding on the frame. One single hook for a hanging mechanism. Please review all photos.
Approximate Measurements: 26.5"x18.5"
