White marble mortar with a wooden pestle/ antique masher. 

This type of mortar and pestle set is traditionally used in Italian cuisine, particularly for preparing Genoese pesto. The marble mortar is known for its durability and elegant appearance. This is likely a vintage piece that was once sold by Willams Sonoma. There is some minor chips on the marble and staining on the inside. The pestle is not original with the mortar, but is an antique wooden masher.
