The most beautiful box for your recipes or photos. Materials and Style: It features a beautiful veneer, brass and silver plate strapping. Features a small crest of mother of pearl inlay on the top. Purpose: These boxes were designed to store stationery and writing implements, often with fitted interiors containing compartments for organizing paper, envelopes, and other items. Historical Context: Dating back to the mid-to-late 19th century, these boxes reflect the Victorian era's interest in medieval-inspired aesthetics and fine craftsmanship. 

Disclaimer: Minor scuffs, dings. There are multiple sections of wood splitting and chips. The silver plate strips are loose. The interiors has a missing wooden section.
